1. What this page covers
A cookie is a small file this site asks your browser to keep, so that the next page you open remembers something from the last one. This page lists every cookie clauset.shop sets, what each one holds, and how long it lasts. It sits alongside the privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
2. The cookies we set
Five, and no others. None of them holds your name, your email, or anything you typed into a form.
- clauset_session: keeps you signed in to your account or to the seller portal. It holds a random token and nothing else; the account it belongs to is looked up on our side. Set only when you sign in, deleted when you sign out, and unreadable to JavaScript. Strictly necessary.
- clauset_locale: the language you picked. Lasts a year. Preference.
- clauset_currency: the currency you asked prices to be shown in. Lasts a year. Preference.
- clauset_country: the destination country the checkout starts on, guessed from your device time zone so you do not have to scroll a list to your own country. It is a default you can change on the form, and it decides nothing about price. Preference.
- clauset_theme: the colour scheme picked in your account. Set only while you are signed in, and deleted when you sign out. Preference.
3. What we do not set
No analytics cookies, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no social media trackers, no third-party cookies of any kind. Nothing on this site profiles you, follows you between sites, or builds an audience segment out of you. That is a description of what runs today, not a promise about a product we have not built; if it ever changes, this page changes first and a consent banner arrives with it.
4. Things kept in your browser that are not cookies
Your bag and your saved pieces live in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and they are never sent to us until you check out. Clearing your site data clears both. Signing in on another device will not bring them with you.
5. Turning them off
Every browser can block or clear cookies, usually under Settings then Privacy. Clearing the preference cookies is harmless: the site falls back to English, US dollars and its own colours. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in, because that cookie is how being signed in works. 6. Changes
When the list above changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
