Returns, without the runaround.

Thirty days to change your mind, no reason needed — four times what the law asks. Longer still when a piece is faulty. One policy for every brand on the site, not a different rule per maker.

1. Before anything else

Ordering is not live on Clauset yet, so nothing has shipped and nothing can be returned. This page is the policy that applies the day checkout opens, published in advance so you can read it before you buy rather than after.

2. Changing your mind — thirty days

You may return a piece for any reason within thirty days of receiving it. Tell us through Contact within those thirty days and send it back within fourteen days of telling us. The law gives you seven days — buying online in Thailand is direct marketing under the Direct Sales and Direct Marketing Act B.E. 2545 — and we give you thirty because a piece bought from a small maker deserves longer than a week to live with. Nothing here cuts down the statutory right, and nothing here touches your rights when something is faulty, which are covered below.

3. The condition it comes back in

  • Unworn and unused, beyond what you would do to try a piece on in a shop.
  • With its tags, dust bag, care card, and any packaging that is part of the piece.
  • Packed so it survives the journey — the maker sent it to you intact and it needs to come back that way.
  • If a piece comes back used or damaged, the brand may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value, and will tell you why before doing so.

4. What cannot be returned for change of mind

These exclusions apply only to change-of-mind returns. They never apply when a piece is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what was described.

  • Made-to-order, made-to-measure, and personalised pieces — stated on the listing before you buy.
  • Earrings and other pierced jewellery, and anything sealed for hygiene where the seal is broken.
  • Gift cards, once issued.

5. When something is wrong with the piece

If a piece arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, tell us within a reasonable time of noticing and send a photo. You choose between a repair, a replacement, or a refund, and we pay the return postage. This applies well past the thirty-day window — a manufacturing fault is a fault whenever it shows up, and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 and the Product Liability Act B.E. 2551 are not limited by anything on this page.

6. Who pays the postage

  • Changed your mind — you pay the return postage, and we recommend a tracked service, because the piece is your responsibility until it reaches the brand.
  • Faulty, damaged, or wrong item — we pay, and we send you the label.
  • Cross-border returns: mark the parcel as a returned good so it is not charged import duty a second time. Any duty you paid on the original order is refunded by the customs authority that took it, not by us.

7. How the refund is paid

Refunds go back to the payment method you paid with, in the settlement currency you were charged in, within fourteen days of the brand receiving the piece — usually sooner. If you paid in a display currency other than the settlement currency, your bank's rate on the refund date decides the final amount; that difference is the bank's, not ours. Original outbound shipping is refunded on a faulty or wrong item, and on a full-order cancellation made within the statutory seven days.

8. Exchanges

Pieces here are made in small runs, so a like-for-like exchange often is not possible. Return the piece for a refund and order the size or colour you want — that is faster and it holds the stock for you at the moment you order.

9. If we cannot agree

Come to us first and we will take it up with the brand on your behalf — the Seller Agreement obliges brands to honour this policy. If that does not settle it, consumers in Thailand can raise the matter with the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB, 1166) or bring a consumer case in the Thai courts, as set out in the Terms.

This policy applies to every brand on Clauset; a brand cannot set terms less generous than these. It describes our practice honestly but has not yet been reviewed by Thai counsel. The commercial terms — thirty-day window, fourteen-day refund, postage split — are the owner's, set 22 July 2026.
